Hebephrenic schizophrenia (from other Greek ἥβη - youth, φρενός - mind, mind) is one of the subtypes of schizophrenia, characterized by the presence in the behavior of pronounced features of childishness, giggling, complacency, smiling for no reason, grimaces, regal manners, pranks. Delusions and hallucinations may be present. Perhaps a passion for religion and theoretical sciences (for example, philosophy).
A schizophrenic episode is characterized by superficial delirium, switching from an adequate state to an inadequate state, which manifests itself in fits of anger, then in violent fits of laughter, the behavior is ridiculous and unpredictable, hears voices, distorts words, the mood is changeable, thinking can be disorganized and manifests itself in jumps from topic to topic, as well as inappropriate emotions - he cries when he hears something joyful, laughs when he learns something bad.
